BASYS NEWSLETTER - PURPOSE AND DESIGN
The BASYS NEWSLETTER is published 3-monthly by the BASYS secretary
(email to:
christoph.zuelicke@io-warnemuend.de).
It serves for rapid communication amongst the BASYS participants, and
can be noticed by the whole scientific community.
The BASYS NEWSLETTER contains the following sections:

EDITORIAL NOTE: newsletter-specific information from the editor
-
MANAGEMENT NOTES: brief information on management matters, state
of the project, meetings, ...
-
SCIENTIFIC NOTES: brief information on planned and performed field,
laboratory and modelling activities
-
SCIENTIFIC PAPERS: communication of (preliminary) scientific results
-
BASYS CALENDAR: dates of important meetings, workshops, conferences
The notes shall be very brief (about 1-2 pages, including dates, participants
and contact address). The papers may be more extended (3-5 pages, figures
may be included).
For the submission of contributions HTML documents would be very wellcome,
but commonly used text formats could be treated as well. Figures should
be supplemented extra as postscript, bitmaps of GIF files. Put the files
on FTP ftp.io-warnemuende.de/pub/incoming/basys/news/ and email
to: dbbasys@io-warnemuende.de. Each author is responsible himself
for his contributions.
Each interested person will be subscribed to an email list and will
be informed via this information channel on each new issue. The NEWSLETTER
is available through internet URL http://www.io-warnemuende.de/Projects/Basys/newslett/.
