Vietnamese-German Summer School (VGSS) on Marine Research 2008
The goal is a multidisciplinary education of PhD and Master Students in marine sciences which covers physical oceanography, climatology, biogeochemistry, nutrient cycles, marine biology, geophysics, geology, sementology, numerical modelling and network analysis.
The teachers are Bodo von Bodungen, Karen Diele, Mau Le Dinh, Joachim Dippner, Hai Nhu Doan, Niko Lahajnar, Long Bui Hong, Lam Nguyen Ngoc, Thomas Pohlmann, Ulrich Saint-Paul, Klaus Schwarzer, Karl Stattegger, An Nguyen Tac, and Maren Voss
The summer school language is English.
Application and an abstract of a student's presentation should be sent in english via email until June 15, 2008 to both contact persons. Because limited lab space is available at ION, a selection procedure will be carried out according to the quality of the submitted applications and abstracts. The selected candidates will be informed immediately. A small amount of money will be available for travelling and accomodation support.
